J. and I would like to extend our personal thanks for providing us with such an enjoyable, hassle-free car buying experience.  We started communicating with Randy Schmuki at the beginning of March and purchased a 2009 MDX sport with entertainment last week.  Since my wife and I live in Colorado Springs, most of the communication was via email.  Randy’s willingness to answer all of our questions and obtain fair pricing promptly was the primary reason Mile High earned our business.  Other dealerships weren’t willing to work with us unless we met with them in person first.  I purchased two new Acuras from the local dealership but didn’t hesitate driving to Denver to work with such an exceptional sales person as Randy.  As I’m sure you can understand, buying a car is a big decision and requires much time and research.  During this process, we never felt pressured by Randy to buy before we were ready.  Randy was patient with us as we changed our minds many times on trimline and accessories. We appreciate that he was honest and always kept our best interest in mind.  We would also like to thank Mile High Acura’s GM Rob Raymond for resolving some concerns we had and giving us the comfort in knowing that everything would be resolved to our satisfaction.  We truly appreciate them staying on top of accessory installations and minor repairs prior to delivery.

Acura automobiles are considered to be low maintenance overall. Still there are some maintenance items that will require attention over the lifetime of automobile ownership. Changing the oil, of course, is standard. In published information from the manufacturer, Acura recommends the following:

It is very important to choose an oil displaying the “Starburst” certification symbol, shown below. This symbol indicates that the oil meets the latest performance requirements set by the automotive and oil industries. Oil bearing the Starburst will provide superior performance in the areas of deposit and sludge protection, wear protection, and oil life. These oils will also protect the environment by extending the life of your emissions system and conserving energy through better fuel economy.
Acura recommends the use of Honda Genuine oil for your vehicle. This oil meets the Starburst performance requirements listed above, but is also subjected to a series of Acura-specific tests to guarantee optimum performance and compatibility with your Acura vehicle.
Lighter oils flow easier once the cold engine starts, bringing vital lubrication to moving parts. Refer to your Owner’s Manual to determine the proper weight (viscosity) grade for your Acura. Your vehicle was designed to use this specific weight grade. Confirm that the weight listed on your oil’s label matches this recommendation exactly before using it in your engine.
